Sunny urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

My mom is going to be in a medical facility for a couple of weeks and I will be in another state, so I am unable to look after her dog for her.

How long is fostering needed for?

A few weeks

Other notes

Sunny is very easy to please, she likes to lie in the sun and she likes to sleep. Although she is blind in one eye and mostly has no teeth, she acts more like a young dog when it comes to her bursts of energy which means she wants to play. Sunny is not house trained, but she will use a pee pad. She does love the outdoors but is known for being a little escape artist, so if you have a yard, a fence with no small holes or gaps anywhere would be necessary if she is ever left unattended. Sunny can only eat foods that are soft and in small pieces and her stomach can be upset easily if the food has too much liquid. She is mostly up to date on all of her shots. If you decide to give her a bath, please make sure she is well dried off afterwards and kept warm, because she can get cold very easily. She gets along fine with others dogs and cats, but due to her small size she must be watched around larger, energetic dogs. I don’t think an environment with children is at all good for her, because she is very fragile and should not be picked up by anyone other than someone more like an adult. She does have trouble walking sometimes due to her knees going out of place (the vet says she is in no pain) and she slips easily on slick floors. She may howl (which is a very strange noise like a Fennec Fox) if left alone for a while.
