Isis urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I temporary relocated to Chicago and I’m renting a room. My roommates religion does not allow for animals in the home/ he is also allergic. I need to find a temporary home for my baby (Isis – 5.5lb Pomeranian).

How long is fostering needed for?

A few months

Other notes

Isis loves to be around people. she is okay with other dogs, but she would rather be with people. She thinks she’s one of us. I got Isis during covid and I work from home, so she is used to constant closeness to me (people) in general. She typically will match energy – if I’m relaxing, she is relaxing. If I am playful, she is playful! She enjoys walks and has her favorite toys. She is well-behaved. I take her outside 4-5 times a day to use the bathroom, occasionally she will have an accident in the house if not taken outside. You can find Isis by my side at my computer, bed, shower, toilet, and couch. She does not have to have physical contact, but definitely her eyes have to see you.

I recently moved from Texas and she would stay with my friend who has a small dog and 2 kids, she loves them! She will have a fit when she separates from me initially but calms down after a few minutes.

She is sweet and has mild energy. She doesn’t have a lot of experience with cats, so I’m unsure how she feels about them. When it comes to other dogs, she doesn’t have too much curiosity about them, she will look at them face to face and does not smell them, she typically is disinterested and will bark when she sees them initially. She’s never bitten anyone – humans or other animals.
