Millie and Maybelline urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I do not currently have a place to live. I am on permanent disability due to rheumatoid arthritis. I need to have two, possibly three, surgeries over the course of the next year. I have two spayed female cats. They are both 10 years old. They are strictly indoor cats. Rehoming them is out of the question. They are my baby girls, my family. I cannot take them to my aunt’s as she is allergic. I need a safe place for them to stay while I recuperate. Once I regain my health, I will be able to take them home with me to our own place. I will send food, supplements and cat litter for them each month, as well as toys and treats on occasion. I would like to visit them sometimes when possible. I love them very much and want them to be safe while I get my health back. If you know of anyone who can foster them in the San Diego area, please let me know. I would be so very grateful. I can be reached at alite235@yahoo.com or by text or phone call. Thank you, Amy Lightner

How long is fostering needed for?

Long term

Other notes

The girls get the zoomies usually once a day. They are very close. They are both box trained and well behaved. Maybelline is a perpetual kitten and likes to sleep on my backpack or the bed by my legs or on a pillow next to me. Millie likes to sleep the same way, as well as next to me under the blankets. Millie is more of a grown up, but can be very silly sometimes. They haven’t ever been away from me so I expect they’ll both be shy at first. Maybelline is a little more adventurous than Millie. They have both lived with other cats and dogs (small and large), and get along well with both. Millie in particular likes dogs. Maybelline is on a supplement called Glandex. I sprinkle it on the dry food in the bowl both girls share so they both get it.
