Winx needs a foster home

Winx is an approximately 50 lb adult pit bull mix who could use a break from shelter life. We don’t know much about Winx’s life before coming to the shelter, so we are looking for a foster home who can keep her for a week or more and let her practice being a family dog. She is energetic and playful, but also loves to cuddle. She’s incredibly eager to please (and get treats!), so an ideal foster should be ready to reward good behavior and practice basic commands such as ‘sit’, settling calmly, and walking nicely on leash. Set her up for success by treating her like a new puppy- shelter staff can set you up with a crate and a plan to use at home. While she loves to play with other dogs, she can be too much for some and would probably do best on her ‘shelter vacation’ as the only dog or cat in the house. Winx is up for adoption, so a foster will need to be able to bring her back to the shelter to meet any potential matches with 24 hr notice.
