Winnifred (aka Winnie, 5 years old, female medium hair tortoiseshell), Lotus (3 years old, female shorthair black and white) urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I recently relocated and my temporary residence does not allow pets and I need a temporary home for my two cats while I get established in a new residence.

How long is fostering needed for?

A few months

Other notes

Winnifred (Winnie): female medium hair tortoiseshell; 7.5lbs; spayed, fully vaccinated,
Lotus: female black & white domestic shorthair, 5.8lbs; spayed; spayed, fully vaccinated

Winnifred (aka Winnie) and Lotus are a pair of super sweet and playful girls. I am looking for a temporary home as I find a permanent residence after being temporarily displaced. They will surely make you laugh and brighten your day.

Winnie is a super playful, healthy, 5-year-old torbie fluff ball who loves to play, look out the window, and snuggle and play with her sister Lotus. Lotus is a healthy female 3-year-old black and white domestic shorthair. I met Lotus at a kitten yoga event which is where her name comes from, and I instantly fell in love with her sweet and loving nature. No known health issues and vaccinations are up-to-date. Winnie and Lotus are fully indoor cats, though Winnie will go outside on my balcony with me with her harness and leash on which she enjoys. Even though they are indoor cats, both are on monthly topical flea/tick prevention year round (Frontline Plus).

Winnie and Lotus are very sweet and super playful. I call Winnie my 5-year-old kitten because she is still as playful as she was when I first adopted her when she was a year old. She was so excited when I brought Lotus home, and they have been inseparable. Winnie loves to be pet, especially on her back/bum which she will surely shove in your face (with love). She also loves to make biscuits on soft blankets and pillows. She adores my other cat Lotus and will also play with other cats. Lotus was rescued from an animal hoarding situation when she was about 3 months old. She is very shy and timid at first and will likely hide for a few days, but she is so sweet and hilarious once she has a little time to warm up to you. She loves to give head-butts and will definitely make you laugh when she bonks just about everything with her face and flops into you. She has a funny little chirp or squeak to let you know she wants to play. Her favorite toys are little spring toys which she will fetch with you! Winnie loves to play with her ribbons and loves kicker toys!

Winnie and Lotus are both spayed and have no known medical issues or allergies. Winnie is approximately 7.5lbs and Lotus is just under 6lbs and vaccinations are up-to-date. They both just recently had their full wellness visits/annual check ups with their veterinarian in August 2023. They are not aggressive and would be fine with other cats and children and they have been around dogs before as well without problems, though Lotus is shy and nervous at first. Winnie and Lotus have never had problems using a litter box and sharing with other cats or changing litter brands. They currently eat Hills Science Diet Indoor Formula but they have both tolerated Purina brands in the past.

Winnie and Lotus are so special to me and I am very sad to be without them during this difficult time. If possible, I would love to connect with a foster who would be willing to update me with pictures/videos and perhaps visits if possible.

**If interested in also fostering a guinea pig: Winnie and Lotus get along with their guinea pig friend Peanut (male, 3 yrs old) who also needs a temporary foster placement. Peanut is a very large guinea pig who doesn’t get along with other guinea pigs but does well with Winnie and Lotus (lives in a cage but is able to free roam around the cats with moderate supervision). He approaches the cats and will even play chase with them. He loves to hang out in the cat tunnels, and will often sit in a tunnel with Lotus just hanging out 🙂

Peanut: 3-year-old male shorthair guinea pig; tan, white & black; not neutered; healthy and active, does not do well with other guinea pigs but loves my cats!
