Wickett urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

Our plans to move into a house quickly were yanked out from under us after moving from Oregon, we live in an rv park and have to change parks. Our landlord didnt like the 6’ fence my husband built to contain the dogs and we cant keep them outside at the next location. Barf is a husky and needs room to run and lots of exercise which we cannot provide in our current situation. He got too big very quickly and cant live inside our very small rv. We have a small child and no room for us. Rehoming is urgent as we are moving in 4 days, my husband is going to work full time and I have a hernia and cannot even walk barf as he is too strong and pulls on the leash. He bonds more quickly with men and never really took to me. We also have a second, medium sized poodle/lab mix that he is bonded to and prefer they go together but ultimately we need new homes for them both as we just dont have a house or a yard for them.

How long is fostering needed for?

Until a forever home for pet is found

Other notes

Barf and Wickett both have a lot of energy as they are still puppy’s and low cost neuter clinics have been booked out for months so we have not been able to neuter them yet. They can be loud barkers and get anxious if left alone too much. Night time chewing and anxiety was an issue indoors so they do best at night when crated or sleeping next to a human. Barf prefers no overhead petting- petting from the back is ok. He will shy away from a hand over the head for petting but has never bitten. Both are friendly but may wrestle and play roughly or knock a small child of his feet by accident. They love playing at the dog park. They will dig if they get bored in a yard. Wickett is good at following off leash but Barf is a strong puller. There were some issues with chasing our cat, mostly playful incidents but Barf does not know his size. Wickett came to us with some food gaurding issues and gets agressive if another dog gets near his treats. He eventually got less dominant with Barf though.
