Tuxedo: Torben, orange tabby: Sigurd urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

Hi, my names Amanda Robinson and I am looking for someplace to take my 2 cats temporarily. I got covid back in March and still haven’t recovered fully. I cant pay my medical bills and am not able to pay for the constant doctors appointments I need, with my current apartments price. So I have to move from my current residence in oregon, back to my parents house in Washington, in order to do so. My mom can’t have the cats in her home because of her illness, so I need a temporary home for them until I can find a place to live for myself and them. I know this isn’t a common thing, but I heard some shelters and rescues will help out in emergency situations, if they have space. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you.

How long is fostering needed for?

A few months

Other notes

BOTH CATS are indoors only. Please do not let them outside as they will run away. My tuxedo (Torben), needs to be on prescription food for his urinary crystal condition or he will get blocked, not be able to pee, and then need to go to the hospital in order to get unblocked. I will pay for his prescription food and any hospital visits. He has to have dry food as well as wet food, both of the prescription food. He gets dry food only in the morning and dry and wet food both at dinner. He is laid back and mostly likes to sleep but is playful also. He loves to be held, is a people person and will snuggle you when you go to bed. His favorite toys are the wands with real life-looking bird feathers on them and mouse toys he can fling around that have some catnip in them.
My orange tabby (Sigurd), gets different dry and wet food but also ongly gets dry food in the morning and both dry and wet food with his dinner. He is very playful and needs a lot of human attention. He is very attached to me and constantly needs to follow me everywhere, including to the bathroom. He does not like closed doors and will try to get out of the room, (I am working on this). He is very vocal. He wants to play late at night and the lazor pointer is his favorite toy, but he also really likes the mouse toys like Torben. I got Sigurd when covid started so he is very scared and wary of new people and will run and hide as well as hide from loud noises, but once he knows you’re safe and the person that feeds him he comes out.
They are very attached to one another and snuggle constantly.
Both wait for me by the door when I come home, (that’s how attached they are). They both hate the carrier and need a lot of tlc and calming words on trips to the vet. They are wonderful boys and great companions and love bugs once they warm up. Please do not split them up.
