Tucker urgently needs a foster home
Why is fostering needed?
We rescued Tucker from euthanasia in Houston, TX. However, our oldest lab continues to attack him unprovoked. It is no longer safe for the two dogs to be in the home together, as our lab recently had to get stiches. Tucker is a wonderful, loving, and loyal dog and is simply defending himself in these attacks, never the aggressor. It’s a hard situation for us, but we would feel better as we do not trust the dogs to be together.
How long is fostering needed for?
Until a new home is found
Other notes
Tucker is a wonderful dog and very loyal.
-Listens to commands and is a quick learner
-House trained
-Tucker is very food motivated and is on a grain free diet (it appears grain foods cause his stomach to get upset).
-Tucker would do well in a single dog home or a submissive or female dog (unsure about cats, as we have not had any interaction with them)
-Tucker does resource guard, as at one point he was staving on the streets. We have worked a LOT with him. Tucker will find his spot before meals and sit and patient wait for his bowl.
