Simba urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

Simba has recently become paralyzed from the waist down. He lost his ability to walk and needs to have his bladder and bowels expressed. He is also leukemia and FIV positive. He is my brothers cat and because of my brothers long hours at work, he is unable to care for Simba the way Simba deserves to be cared for. Simba has fallen into a depression because he is alone all day and has access to just the dining room area (the rest is gated so that he doesn’t hurt himself when my brother is out). He cannot reach windows and ends up staying in his bed all day. He is still eating and drinking and with the proper care, can be a happy cat again! I would take him but my parents and I already have 2 cats that barely get along and need to be separated. We can provide monthly donations and assist with food/supplies! We just need someone willing to take him in and take care of him. He doesn’t deserve to be euthanized.

How long is fostering needed for?

Until a new home is found

Other notes

Simba is a beautiful baby boy! My brother rescued him from the streets after he was abandoned by his former roommates. He found out that Simba was feline leukemia and FIV positive. After a year, Simba woke up randomly and was unable to move his legs. My brother is unable to care for Simba because of his long hours at work which leaves Simba at home by himself all day confined to the dining room area (pet gates are up so that he doesn’t hurt himself while my brother is at work). Because of this, Simba has begun to fall into a depression, and it’s heartbreaking. He would be so much happier if someone was able to fully care for him and provide him the attention he needs and not leave him alone. I would take him but my parents and I already have two cats that do not get along and have to be separated. We are willing to give monthly donations and help with food and supplies if needed! He deserves the proper care and giving him to the shelter would risk him being euthanized 🙁
