Shelby urgently needs a foster home
Why is fostering needed?
Shelby has severely injured our elderly dog and he has to be on bed rest, and that’s impossible with Shelby here. She did not injure our other dog maliciously, she’s just young and has so much energy and is completely unaware of her size and strength and hurt him while trying to get down the steps before him. We’re trying to rehome her permanently but haven’t had anyone adopt her yet, and we really need a break from her in our home while our elderly dog heals.
How long is fostering needed for?
Until a forever home for pet is found
Other notes
Shelby is a young lab mix who is full of life and energetic. She loves to play and run and go on long walks. She loves other animals and gets along with all of them, though sometimes she doesn’t get their cues when they’re asking her to leave them alone. She loves to snuggle right in with her humans and lives for ear scratches and tummy rubs. She’s in excellent health and loves people. She is crate trained and house trained, she does have some separation anxiety when the humans leave. She needs to have heavy chew toys available to her when she’s in her crate and if she’s outside on her own to prevent her from chewing on things she shouldn’t or from digging.
