Sandy urgently needs a foster home
Why is fostering needed?
Can no longer care for her because she needs extra attention and training and we have a small child that takes up a lot of time and we do not trust her with. She’s had some trauma with her sister starting a fight with her. Not recommended to go to a shelter because of that trauma. She needs someone who is extra patient and loving.
How long is fostering needed for?
Until a forever home for pet is found
Sandy is an energetic, loving, playful dog. She loves cuddles, tug o war, and fetch. She’s had some trauma when her sister and her got into a fight and has definitely changed her. She’s a little bit more on edge but she’s still her loving self. She does resource guard her food and can be sensitive to yelling and some touching. She does love belly rubs. Because of her trauma she growled at my young son and we don’t trust her with him or any small children that don’t understand dogs boundaries. Because of the trauma from the fight it’s not recommended she be in a home with any other dogs or cats. She’s a wonderful dog and we would hate to have to take her to a shelter that would possibly euthanize her.
