Oscar urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

We rescued a neighbor’s 5 year old male American bulldog that was on a short chain in his back yard, after 2 weeks it was very apparent that he’s not good with other dogs but is very great with people. He’s attacked two of or four dogs and we’re having a very hard time keeping him confined away from our other dogs and we fear another attack is inevitable if we don’t find him a new living arrangement.

How long is fostering needed for?

Until a forever home for pet is found

Other notes

We are re-homing a purebred 5 year old American Bulldog named Oscar. We have had him about a month and rescued him off of a chain where he had spent 4 of his 5 years. We don’t know anything about his first year.

We are going to be upfront about why he’s being re-homed. He is aggressive towards other animals.

He is NOT AT ALL aggressive towards humans. He has never not once growled or snapped at a person. He loves people and he loves to be loved on. He’s a sweetheart when he’s the only dog around. He would be a VERY good protection dog for someone/a couple. He would also be a good dog to ride with a truck driver. He loves the car and is lazy as long as things are chill. He slept with us for several weeks. He was a happy boy inside, just not around other dogs.

He is a true bulldog and loves to throw his weight around so be prepared to work with him a little on that. Nothing major, just typical Bulldog things.

He is microchipped and you can call and have it put under your info easily. He is not neutered yet as we hadn’t gotten to it. There are low cost spay/neuter clinics all over though that will get it done at a fair price.
