Nala urgently needs a foster home
Why is fostering needed?
URGENT!
I have to move out of my college apartment and unfortunately move back home with my grandmother who is not fond of animals. I need a kind foster home to house my cat, Nala (~1 year old) until I go off to graduate school in August 2024. I do not want to surrender or re-home her because she has been with me since I started college and she’s family. She was a small stray kitten my roommates and I found outside our apartment.
If anyone is in the Houston, TX area that would be kind enough to foster for a few months. I can conjure a pet foster agreement between myself and the foster to ensure security and I can continuously provide food and supplies.
She is up to date on her mandatory vaccines and spayed. She is litterbox trained and knows to use a scratch post on her cat tree.
Nala’s personality is very timid since she was originally a stray kitten. Does well with other cats, but it takes a while. However, she will open up if she knows she is in a safe place.
I am moving out the February 28th and need a response as soon as possible.

How long is fostering needed for?
A few months
Other notes
Nala is a bit timid when meeting new people since she was found as a stray kitten, but can warm up when she is in a safe place. She spends most of her time sleeping or looking out the window, as most cats do; however, she can be playful with other cats. Nala is spayed and knows to use her litterbox. She also knows to use the scratchpost on her tree as well. For some reason, she loves hair ties and will steal them just to play with them.
