Mr. Pickles urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I am having a serious surgery in late March and I will be physically unable to care for my dog for approx 6 weeks.

How long is fostering needed for?

A few weeks

Other notes

Pickles is a 165 lb doofus. 3 years old and still thinks hes a puppy. Gets the zoomies when first coming out of his crate but calms down in a couple minutes and then snoozes on the couch the other 23 hrs a day 🙂 Hes incredibly sweet and a fantastic natural guard dog. That being said, he IS a protective breed. He is not a fan of strangers. He does have some anxiety so it takes him a couple days to settle in and relax. He needs a fenced in yard. He needs someone who has experience handling giant breeds. Best if he goes to a single person household (prefers women) but absolutely no children due to his size. Safe around cats and birds, probably best that he be the only male dog. He is well-trained both for house manners and for basic obedience, but you must be comfortable with using a prong collar and/or e-collar while on a walk. All his expenses will be covered (crate, food, supplements, toys, vet, etc.) and I can transport him within an hour of Raleigh, but anything outside of that distance is a problem for me physically.
