Moe urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

Hello, I am trying to get in touch with someone who may have advice, know about resources, or preferably someone who would be willing to temporarily foster / cat sit my kitty in their home. I will provide anything she may need as well as food/litter. (Her name is Moe. She is a 7 year-old long haired domestic. Up-to-date on vaccinations, in good health. Litter box trained indoor cat. Well groomed (actually getting her professional groomed this coming Friday)). I am going to be away from Portland from August 3-end of November 2022 (about 4 months) and my original cat sitter plan fell through. I am hoping to find someone who may be willing to take care of my kitty in their home. Unfortunately finances are tight right now and that is why I am hoping for some sort of “temporary foster” situation. My cat is very special to me. I have had her for 6 years and I just want her to be in a loving environment while I am away from Portland. Unfortunately it is too costly to have a cat sitter in my home with her. Since my cat sitter situation fell through and I am leaving in a couple weeks, I am in a pinch trying to find care for her. I’m already so sad to be leaving her here temporarily as she is registered as my ESA and my furry love. She has a kitty sister (not related) who I will be bringing with me and is more qualified to travel on a plane (less anxiety and younger), and unfortunately I can only bring one of them on the airplane with me. Moe has lived with dogs and cats in the past, so other animals shouldn’t be a problem. If you or someone you may know is possibly interested, please let me know.

How long is fostering needed for?

A few months

Other notes

Moe is a sweet kitty. She is shy but curious, and will approach you if she wants love and attention. She doesn’t scratch or bite and show’s no aggression. She is litter box trained and an indoor cat. She has moved around with me 5 times so she has learned how to become adaptable. Moe loves rolling onto her back and getting belly rubs. She loves being brushed. She loves playing with her feather toy and some other special toys. Her favorite things are fresh air from the window, birdwatching/chirping, cat naps, and her wet food at night. She loves having her own space to nest under the bed or in other dark cozy spaces. She loves to also kneed my sheepskin rugs and soft blankets. Moe has lived with a big leonberger dog (practically a bear sized dog) in the past and that definitely caused her anxiety, but in other living situations she had lived with a small dog and a medium sized dog and did just fine. She has also lived with other cats in the past and likes to just keep to herself.
