Mindy urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

Looking for a new apartment, my temporary accommodations won’t allow me to bring my dog.

Mindy is a very sweet girl, but she also has a lot of anxiety. She’s hesitant around new people, but typically warms up quickly, though she may be more hesitant with men. She will need time to gain trust before she will accept pets/affection. Mindy does not do well with children. Mindy is reactive and fearful of other dogs, and is known to chase cats and birds, she will do best in a home without other pets.

Mindy has separation anxiety, and thus should be crated if left home alone. She is an escape artist, from standard crates but I would be more than happy to bring her heavy duty crate that she can’t escape from. She does require some coaxing to get inside.

Mindy is mostly house trained but may have an occasional accident if she’s not kept an eye on. Mindy is a couch potato, she may get an occasional burst of energy but is happy to nap for most of the day. She has little interest in toys, but is highly food motivated. Her favorite food is chicken.
