Mikey urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

My mother is being taken off of life support and she had 4 cats that will no longer have a home. I have tried to find someone to adopt them on my own thru social media and nextdoor, but no one has reached out with interest. I am panicking because I love these cats with all my heart and would take them on myself, but I have 3 cats and am having to sell the house and find an apartment somewhere and no where will accept all these cats. I’m at a loss and will do anything in my power to avoid taking them to a shelter. Please help

Mikey is a 8-year-old sweetheart that is the son my cat. I watched him come into this world and once weaned, my mom adopted him which is where he lived until my mother’s passing in July. He’s one of the sweetest, most gentle, docile cats I’ve met. Before my mother fell ill and was hospitalized, he was always a mamas boy. His favorite thing in the world was to curl up on or near my mothers lap, suckling on a soft microfiber blanket while kneading and purring himself to sleep.
I have purchased and tried every kind of toy on the market but to this day his favorite thing to play with is a twist tie from a loaf of bread. He goes bananas, running and batting it around on the tile floor, tossing it in the air and sitting on it until moments later acting surprised when he realizes it’s under his bum.
I was there at the moment of his birth, and since then, he has been around and lived with other cats (up to 7 others!). He is so chill and easy going that I’m sure he would transition to any household with ease.
He is still young, very healthy, never had any medical issues, up to date on all his vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.
Mikey will add love and affection to your life like you wouldn’t imagine. He is not only a beautiful cat, but has such a sweet and gentle personality.
