Mattie urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I need to find foster care and a permanent home for my mom’s 8yr old large dog. She passed away from sudden severe cancer and I cannot keep fostering him past the end of July. I am terrified I will have to dump him in a horrible shelter. He doesn’t deserve that, but I’ve fostered him as long as I possibly could.

How long is fostering needed for?

Until a forever home for pet is found

Mattie is the most loving boy. He would never hurt a fly, but he is a nervous barker around strangers coming into the home until he gets used to them- or when someone who knows dogs well can ease him right away- walking him briefly with new people eases him as well. That bark is his only flaw- he’s fantastic in every other way and very well behaved, also in great health. He’s good with cats, and calm dogs and loves older children. He LOVES cuddles with his human. He’s fairly low energy. Loves to lay in the sun or in bed. He eats grain free kibble twice a day- and LOVES vegetables as snacks, even arugala! He’s a true heart stealer, through and through.
