Luka urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

Since getting him, I have developed health issues that make it impossible for me to keep him. He is a big puppy for 7 months, I estimate him to be 60-70 lbs. He is a boxer mix with possibly German shep or Great Dane. He is very energetic and I believe has play aggression, due to he has a tendency to nip/bite. I have contacted Wood countyHumane Society, which is where I got him from and their wait to be able to take him back for rehoming is 2-4 weeks. They suggested contacting this org. I would not put him with someone who has kids or small pets, maybe no pets.

How long is fostering needed for?

Until a forever home for pet is found

Luka is 7 months old and I have had him for 3 months now. He is crate trained for sleeping at night and during the day off and on while I am working. (I work from home). He gets into and onto everything and puts everything into his mouth to chew up. I have not been able to correct this yet. He digs holes and loves puddles. He started training classes and walks on a lead good in home and yard, but is distracted in other areas…needs more practice. He understands sit and down to lay and will tap your hands with his paw to get treat from them. He sleeps at night from around 8p to 6a in his crate, and has nap times between meals. He is house broken as long as he is put out as soon as he wakes and at meal times. He loves to go for rides and hang his head out the window, but must be secured; I use a tether. I think he could be a great dog with the right person.
