Lucky urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I have entered hospice care and can no longer take care of my dog

How long is fostering needed for?

Until a forever home for pet is found

Lucky is a ten year old, 60 lb black lab mix who needs to lose 5- 10 lbs. He has THE cutest speckles on his feet and tail. Ideally, his new home would be with an experienced owner, somewhere quiet. A farm is ideal, but he will need to be contained, or he will run off occasionally. He loves walks, and generally does well on a leash. He does NOT seem to be leash reactive. A home with some fenced space, or a person willing to walk him regularly would also be good. Teenagers are fine, but no small children. He has been dog tested and seems to get along with other dogs. He has a prey drive, so he may chase cats, but he has not been specifically cat tested. He didn’t seem to pay much attention to horses.
