Linda urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I work with a small local rescue who saved a sweet young dog from a high-kill county shelter, and now she needs a foster family, so we can get excellent notes about her, to help her find her forever home. She came to the shelter with multiple bite wounds and is reactive to other dogs, so it is presumed that she is at least afraid of other dogs and may need to be the only pet, at least at the beginning. She is sweet, very affectionate, and only 1 year old.

How long is fostering needed for?

A few months

Other notes

Linda is currently at the East Valley shelter in Los Angeles and must exit by 8/18/22 due to being Orange Alerted for past medical. She entered the shelter as a stray and was healthy until being medicated for spay surgery, after which time she had a short seizure, so the surgery was postponed. She was adopted and advised to wait on the spay, but they did not, and at some point thereafter, Linda had more seizures and was taken to an emergency clinic, where she had x-rays and blood tests, and was prescribed medication. Since being on the meds, she has shown no further seizure-like symptoms per the shelter vet, but they are only giving her until 8/18 to exit the shelter and be adopted, or rescued with a foster home secured.
She needs a regular, calm place with a normal life ASAP, or her life will be over very soon.

She is a very sweet, friendly, adorable, and vibrant puppy who still has a lot to learn but is starting to learn engagement and cues. We will be formally testing her with other dogs this weekend but currently believe she is dog social.

If you or someone you know are able to foster a sweet, young girl with a whole life ahead of her for a few months, a rescue can pull her and save her life. Her meds are inexpensive but being sponsored for a year by a Good Sam. Please help Linda if you are able! Thank you!
