Leroy Brown urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

My living situation has changed drastically and I currently can’t keep my dog. I’ve reached out to family and friends, but no one is in a position to take in a dog. I need help for a few months until I am able to find a pet friendly home.

Leroy loves to cuddle and play with his toys. It takes time for him to become interested in a new toy though, but once he loves it.. he loves it. He will get random burst of zoomies, especially outside. He loves snacks and will sit nearby while you eat, but he’s never been given table food. He does get anxious if scolded at and will freeze, so patience is needed. He tolerates baths, but will try and make a run for it and does not like anyone touching his paws. Leroy is also afraid of thunder and needs some reassurance that he’s safe. He does like being on the couch or bed, but if told not to- he will stay down. Good with kids and has passed a play test with other dogs at our local doggie daycare and the Chicago Animal Center where he was adopted from. I’ve tested out different foods and he primarily likes Rachel Ray’s Peak Protein dry food with a few pumps of fish oil. On walks, he does well with not pulling hard and passing by other animals. He really just wants to play with them. He has his lazy moments, but for the most part wants to run and play. Overall, he’s a big old goofy baby that loves to be loved.
