Latuna Frittata urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I am in residential treatment for my PTSD following an assault earlier this year. I need a bit longer to get back on my feet so that I can take care of both of us.

How long is fostering needed for?

A few months

Other notes

LaTuna is an intuitive dog. She’s been with me through multiple surgeries; periods where I was physically unable to take her to the park. She’s spent months curled up between my legs and she can sense when it’s time to be still. She also LOVES the park and running and ball is life. Above all she is a pup that craves love and companionship.

She was found on the side of the freeway in Tijuana 5 years ago and was dying of distemper. As a result her jaw is deformed and she’s got a few teeth left. I met her 3 days after the rescue and we’ve been together ever since. I am heartbroken right now. I worked as a security guard and was assaulted on the job, sustaining a serious head wound and a L5 disc tear. After that I had no income, and Latuna and I ended up homeless in a warehouse. I am now in residential treatment for the PTSD, and Latuna has been in a foster with the Humane Society. I have had serious roadblocks along the way (I was assaulted in treatment as well). I am 3 weeks into the program and I need more help. I have a plan to get my life back on track when I graduate this program, and that’s going to take some time. I’m hoping that someone can help me out and give her a stable place to live for another few months. I have been exhausted by all of the twists and turns and traumas that I have endured over the last year and I really need help.
