Lantern urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I’ve recently become homeless and am having to temporarily move in with my mom in South Dakota. The train doesn’t allow pets for more than 7 hours and only allows one per rider. Pet transport services seem to be thousands of dollars. I’ve been contacting friends, family and friends of friends and no luck yet. I’m not sure how long the time frame would be, but I’m hoping to be able to come back in summer at the latest.

How long is fostering needed for?

Long term

Other notes

Lantern is all about her space and doing things on her terms. She doesn’t like to be held for more than ten seconds at a time and will launch off of you to get away. But she loves chin scratches and butt pats. Firm pats. She’s a weirdo. She’s got a smoky meow that she will use to get your attention any time she seems necessary. Tolerant of others, but will give a good bop to anything that bothers her and gets in her bubble too much. She has trouble with her claws getting too long, I’ve had to work on this over time but am currently not in the same state as her and her current fosters don’t trim her nails.
