Koda urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering Needed?

I adopted Koda just shy of a year ago from kind of a rough spot (shelter was closed so he was with a ton of other dogs). He’s had some issues acclimating to other dogs and unfortunately, I am moving to a property for work that has a lot of on-site dogs and I worry for his, and their safety. I have written a little blurb about his personality if that helps…

Hi!  My name is Koda.  I am a big, sweet, energetic boy who is somewhere between 3 and 4 years old. I think I might be either a Husky/Malamute mix or even maybe a Lapponian Herder, which is just a fancy, Finnish version of a Husky.  I love long walks, zooming around a big, open back yard, and obviously I also love snuggles and treats.   Fetch, keep-away, and tug-of-war are probably my top 3 favorite things on the planet.  I currently live with a cat.  I wasn’t sure at first if we were buds, but she is just as energetic and playful as me, so we do chase each other around and play, but I am always gentle.  I do not care for other dogs, I am faithful to my human, so I want them all to myself.  I have a big, soft, fluffy coat but I only really shed once a year.  I am very good at being in my crate, but I am also fine to be left alone in the house.  I don’t do my business anywhere but outside.  It’s important that I have plenty of space to run because I want to keep in shape and be able to play.  I get excited on walks when I see squirrels or dogs, but otherwise, I always check and make sure that you are right by my side.  I can sit, lie down, and even boop your hand if you tell me to with just the word “touch”.  My favorite friend is my 2 year old cousin, I am always gentle with her.  I do not love getting my nails done or getting baths, but I am always happy to go for a swim in the river or the pool or anywhere there is cold water.  I am looking for a good mom or dad to take care of me.  So let me know if you want to come and visit me soon!
