Keeva urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

We have recently moved to southern California from rural Washington. We have four other medium sized dogs, and can’t have a large dog in our apartment (we looked for 6 months to even get an apartment…..). I had her stay with a boarder for several months while we were looking to rehome her. But I can’t afford to pay boarding fees anymore.

How long is fostering needed for?

Until a forever home for pet is found

Other notes

We are looking for a foster until we can find a new home for our 5 year old husky/lab mix Caoimhe (pronounced “Kee-Va”). We got her 4 years ago as a rescue in Moab, UT. She still needs some practice socializing with new dogs, but she has adjusted to our other dogs. We recently moved to southern California from rural WA and can’t give her the space and attention she needs.

Caoimhe is very sweet and affectionate towards her people, but is fearful of strangers. She has never been aggressive towards other people, but will bark at them. She warms up pretty quickly if there are treats involved…..

Caoimhe would thrive as an only dog with room to roam, but could also adjust to living with another large-ish dog (she weighs 75 lbs) as long as she was introduced to the other dog slowly. She has never lived with children so a child-free home would be best. Also no cats or other smaller pets.

She is up to date on all of her shots, and has lots of blankets and jackets and a bed.
