Jackson urgently needs a foster home
Why is fostering needed?
Hello, my brother-in-law just passed away and I’m trying to find a place for his dogs. Unfortunately, I already have 3 cats and a dog and can’t take them in. Due to their age, health conditions, and one is considered aggressive, our local rescue and shelters are unable to take them except for euthanasia.
One is Jackson, a 10 or 11 year old mastiff and black lab mix we think. He has epilepsy, and is starting to show signs of hip dysplasia. He weighs, I’m guessing, in the 80 pound range. He’s a big goofball, very friendly with other dogs and people.
The other dog is Lady, a Queensland mix, and her vet considers her aggressive, although I’ve never seen her anything but friendly. She’s the same age, and has a mass on belly that has never been diagnosed because she wouldn’t let the vet touch it. She’s in the 70 pound range. I don’t think she’d do well with other dogs but loves people. I’m hoping they can stay together but I’m learning this is probably not going to be the case, if I can find homes for them at all.
I can be reached at catdillard@msn.com or 541.915.0450. Thank you for your consideration.
