Hank urgently needs a foster home
Why is fostering needed?
My husband is in a residential treatment program for addiction and I cannot care for our dog on my own.
How long is fostering needed for?
A few months
Other notes
Our family needs to find a temporary home for Hank for at least six months. He is a four year old, 80 lb blue tick coonhound. He is super lovable and super loud. He would do best in a home with someone who can walk him at least twice a day (he is strong so someone with good core strength) and/or a fenced backyard to explore. He barks very loudly at bikes and delivery drivers, is a bit of an escape artist (that hound nose), and can get food aggressive. A home without little kids or other pets is probably ideal, though Hank has lived with other dogs peacefully as long as they are fed separately, and tolerates my one-year-old. Despite his flaws, he is a huge sweetheart and snuggle bug. He is very friendly and gets great “report cards” from doggy daycare. He likes to play but can also spend days just lazing on the couch. He is crate trained, but cannot be off leash. He has a mysterious allergy and sometimes needs to get apoquel for his itchy skin.
