Hamish urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I’m currently in a hostile living situation with my exboyfriend, and have an August 20th deadline to move out. My dog is a 60lb American Bulldog mix, which is making it very difficult to find an apartment because of breed or weight restrictions.

How long is fostering needed for?

A few weeks

Other notes

He was adopted as a stray in February, house broken, knows sit, does not try to steal food on counters or tables, is SUPER cuddly, loves to play tug of war, loves his chew toys, chasing balls in the yard. He is “aggressively affectionate,” and wants to sit in your lap and lick your face all the time. He needs firm boundaries on that. He is guarded with his toys and food, and will growl a bit. He has never bitten anyone in the household. He’s an anxious dog and will do best in a home with no other pets or young children. He seems to get stressed when there’s a lot of loud talking. On walks, he’s very good about not pulling too hard, and responds to verbal reminders to slow down. He’s really a great dog, and I hope that I can keep him forever, but probably will need a foster home for 1-2 months while I try to find an apartment for us.
