Hamburger urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I am in need of a foster to help with a dog I am currently fostering who had to have a leg amputation 2 weeks ago. He has since healed and is doing great but I work long hours and am gone for 13 hours a day. The shelter he belongs to has dropped the ball and is not giving me any assistance. You can see his whole story on my Facebook page. CHRISTINE LA FEMINA. THANK YOU!

How long is fostering needed for?

Until a forever home for pet is found

Other notes

Hamburger is a animal control 2 timer. He was found as a stray and was heartworm positive. A woman fostered him and apparently did not care for him or make sure his heartworm retest was done. She had him for more than half a year and they shelter never heard from her, in fact, the had no record of his adoption…at all. He ended up getting picked up as a stray only this time he was skinny and had an old leg injury that resulted in an amputation. I have seen him through his healing process and he is ready to be adopted. House trained, appears good with cats and hasn’t been around too many dogs but when he has he seems to be okay. He is really amazing and no bad habits. When left alone he is not destructive at all. He is around 3 to 5 years old maybe. I really need to find something for him because the animal shelter is not doing their part and it has fallen on me and I am unable to keep him full time.
