Ellen urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I am starting school in London in September and I cannot have a pet with me during my first year due to housing regulations. I had a lovely couple lined up to care for my dog, but they just backed out the other day.

Ellen is a 12 year old Shih Tzu that requires lots of love and care. She is the absolute sweetest and she loves to be around people. Ellen would do best in a home with no other pets, she is very used to being an only child. Ellen has heart disease that she takes medication for twice a day. She also eats a prescription kidney diet wet, canned food to help manage her kidney disease. Ellen is mostly blind and deaf. She has eye drops and eye ointment to help maintain the health of her eyes. Ellen has been deaf ever since I adopted her at the age of 5. While Ellen certainly requires a fairly regulated schedule and some extra care compared to most dogs, she is extremely happy and a joy to be around. She is laid back and just loves to be near people. I am going to school abroad and during my first year I am unable to bring pets due to housing regulations. I am looking for someone who can help care for Ellen while I am away at school during this first year.
