Doug urgently needs a foster home

Doug is a sweet male dachshund–loves to cuddle, snuggle, be a lap dog, enjoys being spoiled a little and burrows under the covers with humans. He does get separation anxiety and will bark if left alone, so would be better if left with other dogs or in a home with a fenced yard rather than an apartment/condo where he might disturb the neighbors. He is not neutered, so would not be good in a household where there is a female, unspayed dog. He is in good shape and good health, and enjoys walks or hikes, but is also fine in a smaller house/yard. He knows how to use a doggie door, is house-trained, and loves squeaky toys. We are seeking a temporary, indoors foster home for him from early Jan to late April, 2023, and we will definitely want to re-claim him afterwards.
