Dixie urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

My mom has a ~12 year old, black lab that she rescued several years ago (Dixie). Sadly, my mom had a stroke this week leaving Dixie without regular care aside from the neighbors checking in. I traveled from Spokane this weekend to get her affairs in order and have been trying to find a temporary foster as I’m unable to take Dixie at this time. My mom’s prognosis is very good and I don’t want to relinquish Dixie to a shelter as she is very sweet and just might be the key to my mom’s recovery.
My mom might have 1-2 months of stroke rehabilitation before she can come home.

How long is fostering needed for?

Dixie is a 12 year old lab mix rescue. She’s super sweet, quiet and loves to go on walks. She mostly just wants to be around humans and have her head scratched. I’m unsure how Dixie does around other animals as she’s been an only pet. Sadly,, her owner suffered a stroke, has a positive prognosis but needs to go through 1-2 months of rehabilitation.
