Cuijo urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

Relocating to Las vegas Nevada. Need to aquire jobs and housing. We are moving due to eviction and losing our jobs after 14 yrs as card dealers for a casino. Las Vegas will be perfect for the industry we specialize in. Just need time to get jobs and a place. Then we can pay to have Cuijo transported to us in Las vegas.

How long is fostering needed for?

A few weeks

Other notes

He is a cancer survivor. He had a toe removed from his left front paw in 2019. He learned how to cry when he was going through this painful time. That being said. He cried now when he wants love. And he is amazing to go on walks. However he will walk farther than his body would like. So it’s important to make walks short and not over due his old body. He likes to earn reward treats for tricks. He knows how to sit pretty. And shake and say I love you for me. He can be trusted. He doesn’t like a lot of men but certain males he is great with. He loves women and children. Not very good with cats unless introduced in a positive and nurturing way. He loves to sun bathe and takes baths well. His ears are very sensitive and sometimes he has a hard time hearing and seeing. He has always had his own bed. So just laying anywhere is not normal for him. He likes to have a place to go be lazy and sleep. He will let you know when his food and water dish is empty or he wants to be outside for potty time. He loves jerky and sometimes when you pet him he yelps when certain parts of his body hurt. I just think it’s old age. I’m no vet but that’s my take on it. He doesn’t like being alone. And loves to be talked to. I was with him 24 hours a day for 10 plus years and he and I talked all the time. I mean I talked to him, cried to him, laughed with him, hugged him, kissed him and confided in him everything. He is amazing. He likes to play in water as long as you go first..lol he is protective of the people he loves and cares about. He barks but usually only for certain reasons. However at his age sometimes he thinks he can bark at me…lol he is pretty vocal. I love him with all my heart and will be trying non stop to do everything I can to make a home for him to go to in Las Vegas as fast as I possibly can. I have had Cuijo since he was 7 weeks old. He is my baby boy. If you have a lot of time and love and patience and room in your home for a short time he would be an amazing friend to meet and have. He is sweet and tough, kind and protective, smart and silly, old in age and young at heart. Love him to the moon and back.
