Cole urgently needs a foster home
Why is fostering needed?
I am a soldier and will be getting deployed for a little over a year and unfortunately my family at home is unable to care for my dog.
How long is fostering needed for?
Long term
Other notes
Cole is a very happy and energetic dog. He loves to play outside and lay in the grass. Cole was rescued from a very crowded home were his mom gave birth to 11 pups and I believe that’s what led to him being a bit of an anxious boy. He is terrified of loud noises like fireworks and thunder. He loves getting attention from people but I try to not let others get too close as he can get way too excited and sometimes even has accidents. We do have another dog at home but Cole is scared of him (even though my brothers dog is a very small chihuahua) because he bit Cole when he was just a pup. It is usually just me and Cole so we are very close and it honestly breaks my heart to have to find him a home for a year but I just want him to be happy and well taken care of. He is not the type of dog to run off and sometimes even refuses to be outside if he doesn’t see someone close by or at least by the door. I take him out 4-5 times a day and he is crate trained. He knows the most basic commands like “sit” “go home” “go potty” “give me paw” “lay down” “wait” and “let go”. He mostly responds to voice commands but he’s smart and looks for my hand commands as well. He has no medical conditions or restrictions that I am aware of and in conclusion he is my best friend and an amazing dog to have.
