Coco 8 mos and Chloe 18 mos urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

My friend and I just moved from home at 20 years old and thought we would adopt 2 cats that had been together so they were used to each other and a lot of times they separate animals. We thought we were doing the best thing, adopting older then kittens even though still young and keeping them together. Our landlord came to work in the basement and saw the cats litter box and asked about them and said he had just revenovated and doesn’t want pets that could scratch up stuff and pee on stuff and he just had to replace all the subfloors because they had rotted and reeked of urine. It cost him thousands in new subflooring and apologized but was sure he had made that clear. We never heard him say it but my roommates mother knows him and we don’t even have a lease or had to do a security policy. So we don’t want to get rid of them at all. The thought of them being in a cage in a shelter has had me crying for over 3 days and nights. I would love for them to stay together and they are very independent. They didn’t really need us for anything. We had dry food and they ate it and made sure they had fresh water and clean litter and that was it. They didn’t really need or want to be pet or played with by us. They did all of that together. This is why I was to keep them together. They are each other’s everything. Playmate, friend, source of comfort and love.

How long is fostering needed for?

Until a forever home for pet is found

Other notes

One likes only dry food and the other likes wet and dry. I wrote most everything is why I was looking for a home. They are independent when together. As long as they have food, clean water and clean litter they don’t really need anything else from us people. That’s why I was hoping to keep them together. They are less than a year different in age. The older is actually the younger ones aunt.
