Cinnamon urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

Going to Basic Training and AIT for the duration of 5 months combined. I do not have family willing to watch my dog that long.

How long is fostering needed for?

Long term

Other notes

My dog Cinnamon is a 6year old Lab mix. Her breed is unknown. She is sweet and loving. She’ll probably be the happiest dog you’ll meet. She’s as hyper as her mom and loves running in circles outside and zoomies inside. Cinnamon was 7weeks old when I rescued her in college during a bad hurricane in Savannah Ga. Most of her brothers and sisters died and her mom wasn’t able to take care of all of them. I was an unplanned dog mommy at the age of 22yrs and I never owned a pet before. I talk to cinnamon like a human child. So with me she does not stay in crates while I am gone. She also does not stay on a leash outside. She comes when I call and walks far but always in eyes view. We hike while she’s off the leash and comes with a loud whistle. I got lost once and she was off leash and she left me and found the group I was with and tried to lead me to them. It was like. Movie, I was so proud of her. She rarely barks, but when she does expect there to be something or someone that she may see or hear around the house, even when a doorbell rings. She is not aggressive and is more the anxious type around other pets due to me socializing her late. I didn’t know how important that was. Once she gets used to meeting a new dog after a few minutes it’s like they are best friends. She loves puppies as well. Cinnamon does jump when greeting people with very high energy, but it’s more gentle jumping and kissing. Not overly jumping until the dog knocks you down. If that makes sense. Just a “I’m happy to see you” *with her ears down* ; then runs around you a few times and goes to her chew toy. It’s how she says hello. She does not like being outside in the backyard or separated from the person in the home for long. So she will cry. I’ve noticed when I have company and put her up she does complain but she will be fine lol. I think that’s pretty normal. She loves sleeping on anything cozy, so if you have clothes on the floor or blankets. If anything drops she will lay on it. I do not sleep with her on the bed. I do allow her on the couch.
