Blade and Gypsy urgently needs a foster home

Why is fostering needed?

I am going away for 12 months starting January 5th.

How long is fostering needed for?

Long term

Other notes

Blade-7 years old in November, 48 pounds. He has been with us since October 2022. He comes from a very rough past life. He was only 29 pounds and very beat up. He has overcome so many things, very quickly actually! He is a MAJOR lover! Very smart and well behaved for the most part. He does well with my kids, 12 and 2. He can be a little nervous with the 2 year old.. as she is a bit rough with the animals. He knows to walk away if he’s feeling some type of way. I believe he would be best with no younger kids in the home. He loves to be lazy and snuggle up under the blankets with his mom. He is good with our cats and dog, but I am not sure how he would do with new cats or dogs. Kennel trained, he goes in there when we leave the house. He struggles with a little bit of anxiety when left alone. He thinks he loves car rides, but prefers to sit on the floor in the backseat. House broken. Very treat motivated!

Gypsy- 2 years old, birthday is June 20th. We’ve had her since she was 4 months old. Gypsy is full of energy and a strong girl! She loves to run, go for car rides, her toys, treats, pretty much everything! She is kennel trained , does well when left alone. She will chew on any cardboard though. Otherwise we haven’t had any issues. She’s very good with any age children, cats and other dogs. She definitely needs to be on a leash when outside, unless fenced in.

I would love to keep them together as they have become a bonded pair. I’ve only noticed two things… if they are in a kennel, they need to be separated. When they have any type of bone they also need to be separated.
