Barbie urgently needs a foster home
Why is fostering needed?
Not my dog, my friend died and her home (where I have been caring for her dog Barbie) has sold. We need to leave in a few days and Humane Society cannot give us an intake appointment until mid-May
How long is fostering needed for?
A few weeks
Other notes
Barbie is a 16 month old exuberant pup, with so much love to give. She is great with all people, including children. I am told she is not good with cats. She is a great sleeper, good in the car, and is currently a yard dog, so I am unsure if she has leash manners. Her human died in March 2024 and I have been staying at Barbie’s known home, caring for her since January, but the house has sold and we have only a few days left here. I am a cat lady who doesn’t know much about dogs, doing my best to help in this sad situation. Everyone who meets Barbie falls in love with her. She jumps up for a hug to everyone who enters, but calms down quickly. She is treat motivated and could use some loving training – something I’m unfamiliar with. This is a whole new world I’m trying to navigate. I rent a room and am leaving town for the summer, so cannot keep her. She is spayed and vaccinated and has no medical issues. The humane society where she was adopted will take her back, but they are a few weeks out before this can happen, so there is an urgent need. Thank you for considering Barbie. You will love her!
