Why is fostering needed?

We cant provide the type of home management needed.

How long is fostering needed for?

Other notes

He is the sweetest dog you’ll meet, although his love for food almost rivals his love for attention. He loves playing with other dogs, but not as much as he loves chewing on a nice snack and lounging around in the house. But don’t dismiss him as couch potato status, as Arlo is a very versatile pup! He can go from catching some z’s to playing in no time! His favorite part is jumping in the air to catch those high balls. And don’t worry, he always brings his ball back for more fun!

Arlo prefers an intimate setting, where he’s around adults who understand that he isn’t a party dog, and can enjoy a private life with people he trusts. He also needs someone who can give him patience as he learns to feel safe in a new home, and gains an understanding of how things work in his new environment.

Once Arlo feels at peace, he’s the most affectionate guy who will always have your back, and never judge you. He’s so loyal to his humans that he’s willing to put himself in situations that make him uncomfortable, just so he can be with them. This means he needs his owners to make sure he only collects positive experiences in life, and prevent him from swimming out too deep and damaging the confidence he’s built.

Arlo is 3 1/2 years old, 100% crate trained, potty trained, doesn’t have separation anxiety, not destructive, dog social, and even has a spot in daycare (which we hear is hard to find!) for owners who want to continue to help him maintain his social human relationships (as well as dog ones.

To help Arlo’s transition to his new home, his new adopters will receive free training lessons. He also comes with a crate, bowl and toys.
