Apollo urgently needs a foster home
Why is fostering needed?
Camp Lejeune requires dna testing to prove dog is 0% of banned breeds on base.
How long is fostering needed for?
A few weeks
Other notes
Temporary foster family for dog needed.
I’m praying to find someone willing to watch my beloved fur child while we wait for his dna results. Camp Lejeune animal control is forcing us to relocate him off base starting Friday until his dna results come in.
Crate trained and does well with small dogs and children
Little more about Apollo and our situation:
He is the most loving, gentle, silly boy. He cracks me up all day long. Loves walks/runs/water. Does well on long car rides. He loves his naps!!
He is such a good boy but Camp Lejeune animal control claims he shows physical traits of banned breeds on base (we had no issues on Camp Pendleton). We have paid to have dna testing done and are praying that we can keep him but were told if he has even 1% of the banned breeds we cannot keep him on base. We just moved here from California so we don’t have friends or family nearby to keep him until we figure out our living situation in order to keep him. He is seriously such a blessing and a great dog.
I don’t want to give him up so if you and your family are willing to care for him starting Friday for around 2 weeks as we wait for his results or find him a long term foster home until we can find off base housing I would really appreciate it.
I really do not want him to have to be in a shelter…. he’s too soft for that.
We love him so much…
Thank you!
